Security - Virtual
Private Network
Virtual Private
Network (VPN) is a private data network that makes use of the public
telecommunication infrastructure, maintaining privacy through the use of a
tunneling protocol and security procedures.
There are three
important VPN technologies: trusted VPNs, secure VPNs, and hybrid VPNs.
It is important to
note that secure VPNs and trusted VPNs are not technically related, and can
co-exist in a single service package.
The benefits of the
VPN include:
-
Employees are able to
collaborate on works or projects, extending the "normal" available working day.
-
Introduction of new,
or expansion of, existing IT solutions is exploited by every branches providing
a faster and greater return on investments.
-
This has directly
benefited the clients by reducing the turnaround time of projects.
